Hc: Mike gets into fights for Will (all the time). Will doesn't tell him whenever Troy is picking on him because he doesn't want Mike to get in trouble. But the few times it happens around him, Mike is the first to pick a fight (Lucas and Max join in to back him up, and eventually Dustin just shrugs and joins in the fray). Will is happy that Mike would fight for him, but worried about his boyfriend's new black eye.

Hell yeah anon! Mike’s so prone to picking up fights, especially when it comes to his friends and even more so his boyfriend. He can’t stand to hear people trash talk Will so of course he intervenes. He doesn’t really care if he gets bruised (though of course his parents won’t be happy but it’s not like that will stop him) so he just goes for it. The others always help because it’s not like they like how mean the other kids are to Will either. El always wants to use her powers to ‘beat some sense into those mouth breathers’ but of course no one lets her, that would be way too dangerous.

Will for his part is always so worried for them and tries to stop it as soon as it starts. Most of the time though he can’t get between them so it’s always him patching the other party members and trying to talk them out of fighting (spoiler: it never works). Secretly, Will does feel happy that they’re doing so much for him and how they’re always backing him up. It truly makes him feel loved and cared for so even though he’s sorry that they have to fight those battles for him (‘no Will, we’re just helping you out, we’re battling with you not for you’) he’s also so so thankful.

Friends who fight together, always stay together.
