I really just am so in love with Dustin and Lucas' argument in front of Hopper in season 1 "It doesn't matter" "He ASKED" like at the same time Lucas' general voice of reason like I bet they have silly arguments about characters who is better. Dustin is such an adorable bard "I need my paddles" "why are you curiosity door locked?" I imagine them trying to argue while watching a movie with Max. She'd be like shut up! I dunno where I was going with this.
bywheelers replied:Honestly i think they really have such a beautiful and funny relationship, like yea they bicker and argue a lot and they can’t seem to come to agreements very often which leads to them always trying to one up each other, but at the same time it’s obvious how close they are, because they’re always there for the other and it’s clear they love each other a lot and care so much, so it gives for a real interesting relationship.
It’s very different from will and mike for example, which have the kind of relationship where they basically know what the other is thinking just by sharing a glance and they’re always in tune with one another, dustin and lucas on the other hand are all about contradictions, they have very different opinions and common ground between them is rare but it’s quite lovely because they’re the type to fight about even the simplest things and they don’t like to lose either so they can go hours and hours discussing why they’re opinion is right and the other is wrong, but when it truly matters they’re there for each other, and i do believe they’re actually rather sweet and adorable when they do actually find things they do agree on.
