holy shit, I remembered this scene from a show I used to watch when I was younger and let me present you:
- mike wheeler, resident troublemaker, getting into fights with kids who pick on will. even after he’s become a walking pole, he’s still lanky as hell so while he gives his best in those fights he still ends up bruised here and there.
- will byers, resident angel, patches him up every single time. he likes to go off on mike for getting into so much trouble for him, though it’s really like talking to a wall since mike never pays attention and just goes on about how “I can’t just let people walk all over you like that, will. NOT ON MY WATCH”.
- on one particular bad fight, mike gets a rather ugly bruise on his right cheekbone and will, who is pretty much a nervous and worried wreck when he sees it, brings his hand up to mike’s cheek to run feathery fingers over the bruised spot. will asks if it’s hurting him a lot to which mike shrugs nonchalantly and in a moment of what will will call completely insane, he leans over and gives the bruise a gentle and soft kiss.
- when will leans back they’re both looking at each other as if they’re seeing one another for the first time. there’s a tense silence before mike speaks up. “what was that for?” and it will be will’s turn to shrug nonchalantly. mike contemplates for a moment before he gets a devious idea.
- “you know, that’s not the only place I got bruised.” will raises an eyebrow. “where else?” mike smirks while he points to his lips. will rolls his eyes and acts like mike is an idiot but he will lean over and give him a small peck on the lips anyway because honestly? how can he say no to that?
- (and if from then on mike is a little shit and always goes on and on about how will has to kiss all of his booboos away, well…. what can will say, he’s a weak man.)
