Imagine Will and El helping Mike come up with ideas for future campaigns seeing as now there are two more people in the party. Will, for his part, is the one who mostly has interesting and creative ideas that can be used, while El, who still struggles to truly understand what kind of game they’ve been playing, gives insight here and there, adding little bits to whatever Will and Mike agree on. So when the campaign starts to take shape and form, Mike is so happy, he’s practically shaking all over the place in his excitement, he calls both El and Will brilliant, and leans over to give El a kiss on her check and Will a kiss on his lips.
Before any of them can say anything, El and Will look at Mike’s retreating back, who had bolted from his cross legged position on the floor and up the stairs in record time, crying about going to take something from his room. The two remaining people in the room blink several times, still trying to wrap their heads around what had just happened.
It’s Will who breaks the silence, slowly moving his head until his eyes lock on another pair. El’s expression is calm in contrast with Will’s crazy beating heart. He gulps. “He meant to do that the other way around…” He pauses, silence enveloping them, before, “right?”
A knowing smile blossoms on El’s face that does nothing but make Will’s inside go even crazier.
